The SEVEN Band Brings the ENERGY to Broken Goblet

This past weekend there was a different vibe in the air at Broken Goblet Brewery. Maybe it was the Easter weekend or the warm weather signaling the beginning of spring, but it felt more energetic then my usual visits there. I was of course on hand to photograph The SEVEN Band, a band that I’ve been in touch with for months, but never had the pleasure of meeting. So for me the night was one of excitement for the unknown and the unexpected thrill of what was to come.

The SEVEN Band brought their powerful display of music and wild dace when they took the stage at Broken Goblet. From the opening notes of the show, lead singer Britany Marie and her sister Shannon Nicole controlled the stage, singing and dancing with an intensity that quickly brought the crowd to its feet to join in on the open dance floor.

These weren’t the only siblings on stage though, as The SEVEN Band is a true family affair, with four brothers performing in perfect unison as only a family can. The O’Neill brothers consists of Chris on vocals and guitar, Tim on drums, CJ on bass & vocals and Danny on keyboards. Completing, as well as perfectly complimenting the band, are Mike ZImmerman on saxophone and Chris Phillips on trumpet.

The performance was a perfectly chosen medley of current top 40 hits, as well as the past hits from the previous four decades. Everything from classic rock, to country music to hip hop was included for what turned out to be a Saturday night dance party. Meatloaf’s “Paradise By The Dashboard Light” was a huge crowd favorite, as was Madonna’s “Like A Prayer” and Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” While the band belted out the hits, there was a huge 30th birthday celebration happening in the crowd as well as a wedding anniversary. They chose the perfect band to have their memorable events with.

The big surprise of the night, was Broken Goblet mainstay, and multi talented musician, Cara Cartney, joining the band on stage, to perform two Alanis Morisette hits. It’s this pairing that forms the new Alanis tribute band, Jagged Little Pills, which have an upcoming show at The Landis Theater on April 21st. Tickets for that event can be purchased here: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/8161860/jagged-little-pills-alanis-morissette-tribute-shadows-of-the-night-pat-benatar-tribute-20-vineland-the-landis-theater?country=US&language=en

The SEVEN Band is truly the Philadelphia region’s most energetic and entertaining cover band. With their huge catalog of music, every show is guaranteed to be different, but extremely memorable. They are up next this Friday at Cooper’s Riverview. Full photo set from Broken Goblet can be found here: The SEVEN Band Photo Gallery

Broken Goblet Brewery continues to be the area’s premiere spot for live music and great beer, with a friendly staff. They live up to their title of “Best Music Venue” for three years in a row with their incredible stage, sound and lighting set up.
