Unforgettable Fire Returns to The Landis

Unforgettable Fire - The longest running U2 tribute band made their triumphant return to The Landis Theater in Vineland, NJ last night after almost two years of being away. Their last show was played on September 11, 2021, a tribute to a day that will never be forgotten.

They brought their incredible setlist of U2 favorites. Opening the show with City of Blinding Lights, as made famous on the Vertigo Tour, they rolled through the hits including Even Better Than The Real Thing, Desire, and Beautiful Day. What makes Unforgettable Fire so revered by fans is their willingness to play the deeper U2 cuts. Silver and Gold (a Joshua Tree B-side but made famous by Rattle and Hum) was played by request of an audience member. A Sort of Homecoming [off the album the band is named after] and a song I’ve personally never heard live, returned to the setlist and will hopefully be a mainstay for awhile.

While every Unforgettable Fire show has it’s share of regular followers (usually the ones up front dancing the night away), there are always first timers to their shows. Long time fan, Jodie Webster, was introducing her boyfriend, Shawn, to the band for the first time last night. When I asked today if he passed the test, she exclaimed “He did!!!” Shawn’s first UF show was a success and his favorite song Angel of Harlem was played, which was huge bonus for him.

The Landis Theater has changed significantly since the band’s last visit. A fully renovated “green room” greeted the band, which includes wrap around leather couches and fully lighted mirrors, ample room for dining with multiple tables, fully stocked refrigerator and Keurig machine and a private dressing area with full bathroom amenities.

Also updated at The Landis, the addition of Kaycee Ray's Restaurant at The Landis, a full service food and beverage sports bar. Kaycee Ray's is the perfect spot to grab food and drinks before and after any show at The Landis. There is also, Upstairs at Kaycee Ray’s, a second live music venue also with full service restaurant and bar.
