Sevendust brings their “In Dust We Trust” tour to the Tropicana.

Sevendust is currently on the ‘In Dust We Trust’ tour as support for Disturbed. On March 15, 2025, they stopped at the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Sevendust is one of the bands that I wanted to see live, but last Saturday night, it was not only to see them live but also to photograph them. So, I’m a Yankee; I traveled from New York City to Atlantic City, NJ, to capture their live performance, which involved a three-hour drive. I know they have shows in my city opening for Disturbed and Three Days Grace on Friday, but those days are my working days at my regular job. I have been trying to reach out to their PR to cover media for them for two years in a row and have been denied. New York is very hard for making requests for artists like them.

Returning to my concert experience, I want to share a detailed account of their live performance. As soon as Sevendust stepped onto the stage, they launched into "Pieces," instantly captivating the audience, who stood and sang along. The powerful bass, intense lyrics, and electrifying guitar riffs had everyone in motion. It was a pleasure to watch Lajon Witherspoon, the lead vocalist, as he energized the stage with his dynamic presence. His positive energy was truly contagious, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the event. Speaking of Morgan Rose, the drummer, he was very powerful; he brings so much energy as he drums and backs up Lajon's vocals.

One of the highlights of the show for me was the poignant moment when Lajon announced that the event was a family reunion tour. With tears in his eyes, he was very emotional, and I could feel his happiness. I felt truly fortunate to be part of that unforgettable night. They performed "Angel's Son," dedicating it to all those we have lost, and the beauty of the song left a lasting impression on me. I am grateful to have witnessed it live. The most surprising aspect was that I initially believed I was only permitted to photograph three songs; however, I ended up capturing their entire set. I found myself positioned right in front of the stage for most of the performance, which was an unexpected delight.

This was a powerful gig that these musicians put on last Saturday night. Every cent I spent and the three-hour drive were absolutely justified. If you have the opportunity, I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing Sevendust on this tour! They are an incredible band to see live, with the energetic chaos on stage complemented by their passionate fans in the audience.
